About Us
Hednesford Nursery is a local authority maintained nursery school and is one of the last two remaining stand alone maintained nursery schools in Staffordshire. The two nursery schools currently work closely together with staff expertise shared between the two.
The nursery, judged by Ofsted as ‘a good nursery’, is going through an exciting time of change, improvement and development. The experienced staff team have developed innovative and exciting practice at Hednesford Nursery. There has been recent building work at the nursery in order to create additional space; the building has been altered and extended, which at the same time has upgraded our accommodation to make it more attractive and appropriate for young children.
The nursery is close to the centre of Hednesford just off the main high street. Children attend from the local area as well as from further afield in the Cannock area. Children from Hednesford Nursery feed into a number of the local primary schools in Hednesford and Cannock.

Our Childcare Provision
The nursery offers childcare under a governor run provision, to offer families flexible childcare to meet their needs through offering additional hours.
We have children on NEF funded places as well as maintained places and also offer places to 2 year olds under the Think 2 programme. We run weekly baby sessions and welcome community links.
