Holbrook Primary School, Holbrook, Suffolk is in a rural setting and has single form entry. The pupils come from a broad area, with over 40% of families being attracted from outside of the historical catchment.The school is performing academically in the top 10% of the local authority primary schools and Ofsted 2012 rated the school as 'good' with outstanding for behaviour and safety of pupils.
The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum with a number of enrichment opportunities provided due to specialisms in facilities and staff expertise. These areas are in Computing, with pupils performing in competitions at an international standard. The school teaches Food technology, using a purpose built cookery room pupils have regular timetabled lessons to encourage an interest in healthy diets and lifestyles. The outside environment includes an area called The Hollow and this is used for forest schools which also is timetabled so that all pupils have acccess to this facility.
Our Childcare Provision
Holbrook Primary School has an onsite provision for wrap around care. The Cabin Club is a purpose built accommodation for pupils and pre-school with shared access to the schools outside facilities. The Cabin club is an independent provider which offers care before and after school. The children are brought into the playground for the start of school and at the end of the day are collected from school and walked across the playground to their centre. There are no roads to cross or transportation required. Access to the centre is straightforward for the early morning drop off and collection at the end of the day.rates are reasonable and flexible to suit parents' needs.
