About Us
Kentmere Primary was originally formed in September 2001, as a result of the amalgamation of two schools with distinctively different cultural characteristics. The school was significantly rebuilt after this time and is now housed in modern accommodation with nursery provision. In February 2015, Kentmere Primary joined the Wardle Trust and became Kentmere Academy and Nursery.
Kentmere is a forward-looking school which values academic success and extra-curricular achievement equally. The school is known for being friendly and open with a clear set of values agreed upon and respected by all members of the school community. The school serves students from a wide range of backgrounds with many speaking English as an additional language.
The wide range of extra-curricular clubs at Kentmere Academy are what make the school unique. The school offers activities such as Jujitsu, Art club, Fencing and Science club, just to name a few. Students are encouraged to choose as many clubs and activities as they like and the school takes pride in its efforts to provide an active and healthy lifestyle in addition to academic efforts.
Since becoming an Academy and becoming a partner with the Wardle Trust, Kentmere has produced some of the strongest results in the local area, surpassing previous results and beating many other schools in the area.
The school looks forward to continuing this success in the future. The friendly and open environment in addition to this achievement has produced an outstanding local academy that is well respected by all members of the school and the local community.

Our Childcare Provision
Kentmere Academy is a primary school and Nursery.
Children can start at the Kentmere Academy Nursery from age 3. The Kentemre Nursery is a full time childcare provision. At Kentmere Academy Nursery, we provide a rich and stimulating environment for your child. Managed by fully qualified teachers, we encourage children’s development through play, creativity and physical development to build strong foundations for their future education.
We are pleased to offer full time nursery places at a reduced cost of £35 per week.
