Kingsfold Primary School was officially opened on Wednesday, 9th September 1959. It was built to accommodate children from the large ‘new’ Kingsfold estate, which was built following the war years in the 1950’s. When the school first opened it comprised of only the ‘junior’ end of the building and provided places for 160 children. A further three classrooms were added in 1962, and in 1992 the Nursery building, which is now a Children’s Centre, was completed.
The school is built on one level and comprises of five classrooms, a Foundation Stage Unit, a large hall an ICT suite and a disabled toilet. It has a large field and hard playing area with a Tyre Park and a Multi Use Games Area.
