About Us

Lawrence Sheriff School is a high-performing 11-19 selective school for boys. However, the school is not only about academic achievement. The school's culture ('the way we do things around here') also involves developing the whole person, whether it be through sport, music, drama, art or the many other clubs and societies which flourish within the school. It also involves playing a full part in the life of the community that the school serves. Our aim is to be the 'community grammar school' that plays an energetic part in the community of Rugby.

In June 2011 the school achieved the Investor in People Gold Standard and in many ways that kitemark best sums up 'the way we do things around here'. The school's aim is to invest in the capability of every member of the school community and to help them to achieve their potential. We want Lawrence Sheriff to be a happy school, a place where every individual is valued for their unique contribution to the organisation.
