About Us
Mattersey Primary School is a small school in a rural setting in North Nottinghamshire. It is a maintained school under Nottinghamshire County Council's local authority care. Children can join in nursery during the term after their third birthday and the school is able to offer flexibility in the way that you use your child's allocated child-care funding. Please talk to us about this. We have recently forged links with Everton Primary School, just a short distance away and as such share their head teacher. Children in both schools are already beginning to see the benefits that the new collaboration can bring and such links bring wider opportunities for our children. The school also belongs to a family of schools that feed into the Elizabethan Academy in Retford.
Our Childcare Provision
Mattersey Primary School is able to provide both wraparound child care during term time from 8:00am each morning and again at the end of the school day until 6:00pm and also during the school's inset days, holiday periods (subject to demand). We are also able to offer a drop-off and collection service for several local schools (please see pricing information on our website). During these periods, the children are able to take part in a variety of activities and programmes each day including a book corner, homework and quiet area, table tennis, table football and baking. A wide range of games, puzzles, books and creative materials are provided for them to use along with regular arts and crafts activities. In addition to this, the after school club has access to a large outdoor area where children have supervised outdoor activities and games including tennis, football and netball.
