About Us

Newtown Primary School serves a mixed catchment area with approximately 75 pupils on roll. There are currently three classes in the school: Class 1- Reception, Year 1 & 2, Class 2- Years 3 & 4, Class 3- Years 5 & 6. Newtown is an inclusive school and pupils with Special Educational Needs attending Newtown may include children who have Educational Heath Care Plans, learning difficulties, emotional/behavioural difficulties or disabilities.

Staff and Governors at Newtown Primary School provide an inclusive, supportive and stimulating school community, where children can achieve their full potential- academically, socially and emotionally- in a safe, happy and healthy environment, so that they can prepare for life in an ever-changing world and make a positive contribution to their community.

Our Childcare Provision

The Foxe' Den Out of School Care Club operates a breakfast and after school club during term time. Foxes' Den opens at 7.45am until 9.00am every morning during term time and from 3.25pm until 5.30pm every evening during term time.

The Supervisor, Miss Williams, and her team provide a stimulating and fun time for everyone. Activities include: Arts and Crafts, Baking, Around the World Wednesday, Messy Thursday and lots of special events such as Cinema Nights, PJ Parties and much more.
