Quernmore Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School is a voluntary controlled school school in Lancaster. According to the latest government data, it has approximately 98 pupils and allows entry for children aged 4-11.
About Us
We are a small, rural Primary School with 105 children on roll. The school is in a beautiful setting on the edge of the Trough of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Mission Statement
The Governors and staff of Quernmore C.E. Controlled School aim to provide all children with the means and desire to strive for excellence in all aspects of their life.
They aim do this through a creative and balanced curriculum that ensures all achieve an appropriate and sustainable grounding in academic, spiritual, moral, social, aesthetic and physical education, and also enables them to articulate and maintain an active enquiry in all aspects of the world around them.
They aim to provide all pupils with a respect for Christian values and attitudes and the ability to show tolerance, courtesy, respect, consideration, co-operation and concern towards each other and the wider community.
Our Childcare Provision
We currently provide Breakfast and After-School Clubs for children registered on roll. Breakfast Club runs from 8.00 - 8.45am, with breakfast provided, if required. After-School Club runs from 3.20 - 5.15pm.
We prefer bookings in advance, wherever possible but do accept children on an ad hoc basis.
