At Shepton Mallet Community Infants' School & Nursery we recognise and value the uniqueness of every child, helping all to achieve their best within a happy, secure and creative environment. We aim to teach children and give them the knowledge to develop concepts which all enable them to grow into positive, responsible people who can work and co-operate with others and who are well equipped for life in today's rapidly changing society.

Our Childcare Provision
Our nursery is designed to provide age appropriate rooms, for babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children. Each room is designed and equipped with age appropriate resources and furniture.
Our nursery is open from 8am -6pm Monday to Friday 50 weeks of the year (we close for two weeks at Christmas)
Sessions can be booked by the hour, and with a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 10 hours, and your child must attend for at least two sessions per week.
Children aged 3&4 yrs are entitled to the Early Years Entitlement and can access up to 570 hours per year. Eligible 2 years old can also claim the Early Years Entitlement.
Nursery is organised into 4 main sessions:
Mornings start at 8am & 9am
Afternoons start at 12 & 1am
At Shepton Mallet Commuinty Infants' School & Nursery we offer wrap around care for all school children.
Wake & Shake Breakfast Club 8:00am - 8:45am - Ages from Reception to Year 2
Out of School Club 3:15 - 6:00pm - Light snack and fun indoor and outdoor activities provided.
Holiday Club - (Every school holiday excluding the two week Christmas holiday) 8am-6pm flexible sessions to suit your childcare needs.
