ABOUT OUR ACADEMY
St Philip Neri with St. Bede’s Catholic Voluntary Academy was formed by the amalgamation of St. Philip Neri First School with St. Bede’s Middle School in 1984. The school is housed in the former St. Bede’s building and was completely refurbished in 1986. It is currently one of the largest schools in the Diocese of Nottingham with 420+ on roll including a 40 place nursery.
St Philip’s School is situated near the Centre of Mansfield, which is the largest town in the county of Nottinghamshire.
The latest Ofsted inspection was in October 2012 and the team judged our school to be ‘good with some outstanding features’.
We are a very busy school receiving many enquiries from parents desiring a Catholic Education for their children. We aim to provide children with the opportunity to strengthen and deepen their knowledge and practice of their faith as well as offering a broadly based curriculum with a wide variety of cultural, sporting and education opportunities. We work in partnership with our neighbouring schools and designated secondary school, All Saints, to enrich the learning opportunities for our children. We are a very happy community.
In October 2014 the school joined The Aquinas Catholic Academy Trust.
