About Us
The Echelford Primary School is a three form entry school taking 3 classes per year group from Reception (aged 4-5yrs) all the way up to Year 6 (aged 10-11yrs). This makes Echelford one of the larger schools in Spelthorne however despite its size we pride ourselves in maintaining a family feel where everyone knows each other.
The starting point for Echelford's learning environment is the child and we work hard to craft the provision around their individual needs. In this way we can be confident that we are ensuring the right opportunities are made available to enable every child to excel and genuinely achieve their full potential. Our whole school community is committed to enabling the children to become successful lifelong learners and happy, fulfilled adults who can make positive choices about their future.
Our school is set on a spacious well-equipped site with two playgrounds and a large field where the children are able to enjoy the use of our own adventure playground, trim trail and football pitch.
We are committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. To achieve our commitment we will ensure continuous improvement and development of robust Safeguarding processes and procedures that promote a culture of Safeguarding amongst our staff and volunteers.
Echelford is approximately 20 mins walk from Ashford High Street and serves the local community and beyond with many children coming from other Spelthorne and Hounslow communities.
Our Childcare Provision
We understand that some parents and carers have commitments that necessitate their child being brought into school before the start of the school day. Our Breakfast Club is an on-site provision for Echelford pupils led by members of our staff. The club opens at 7.35am each morning and allows children the opportunity to come into school and prepare for the school day in a safe, settled and well equipped dedicated area. Food and drink is available for children as well as learning resources such as games, books and iPads.
