About Us
The Peterborough School is the city's only independent day school for boys and girls from Nursery to Sixth Form. The School and Nursery enjoy beautiful, extensive grounds on one leafy campus close to the heart of Peterborough, a fast-growing, historic city with excellent transport links.
Set in a separate building, the Nursery offers outstanding year-round day care for babies from 6 weeks and children up to pre-school level. The Nursery is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm and provides tailored meals including breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks. As well as the three separate sections for Babies, Toddlers and Pre-school children, the Nursery has several outdoor play areas and large patio.
Boys and girls from 4 to 18 years are educated at the school where small class sizes and focus on individuals are key features. Academic achievement is high and the pastoral care is second to none.
Our Childcare Provision
The Nursery is open year round from 8.00am to 6.00pm, with some earlier starts possible by arrangement. Morning (8.00am-1.00pm) and afternoon (1.00pm-6.00pm) sessions are available in addition to full day and full week places. A limited number of short sessions are available between 1.00 and 4.00pm.
The school opens at 8.30am with Pre-care for Prep pupils available from 7.45am. After-care for Prep children is available until 6.00pm with supervised homework sessions and snacks. Senior students may stay on site in Homework Club up to 6.00pm.
In conjunction with Churchill Activity Camps, we now offer a 48 week package of education and child care for children from 4 to 14 years. In the school holidays, Churchill sessions run from 8.00am to 6.00pm. For dates of holiday camps please see the school website.
