About Us
Westfield Junior School is a junior school which also had a Moderate Learning Difficulties Unit. At Westfield we are lucky enough to have our own swimming pool on site and a number of large play grounds. We also have a huge playing field. We have a pets corner, this includes guinea pigs and chickens. Staff at the school are very experienced with Special Needs and children who are in care. All staff have received training on autism and attachment disorder and have great empathy with young people.

We have a range of lunchtime clubs, both academic and sport, children also have access to our friendship club at lunchtime.
All pupils in care are entitled to join our breakfast and after school club.
We also run homework clubs and an invitation only emotional explorers club.
In the past we have also facilitated additional swimming sessions in our onsite pool and have also supported horse therapy sessions.
We also have a very experienced Family Liaison Officer who has training in counselling and drawing and talking therapy.
