Wincle CofE Primary School is a voluntary aided school school in Macclesfield. According to the latest government data, it has approximately 41 pupils and allows entry for children aged 4-11.
About Us
Our mission is to ensure that all within the school community “shine like stars” (Philippians 2:15) We believe it is important for us as a church school to have a verse from scripture which should be our inspiration and something to strive towards.
This encompasses all that we do – whether you are a pupil or a member of the school team of staff and governors. We strive for excellency, whilst also recognising the starting place of each individual child:
“we are recognised as individuals” Pupil quote, Ofsted Inspection report 2014.
We are all different and can all achieve different things. We were delighted in our recent Ofsted report for the inspector to note that “The heart of the school is the value you place on the child” a testament to the hard work that is put in place by all of the teaching community to ensure that all children are given structured and appropriate learning tasks – whether your child has special educational needs or is considered more able, all will be shown the skills of how to flourish and shine like a star across their school career in Wincle.
As staff and governors, our guiding star is the one of continuous improvement involving rigorous self assessment against a 3 year strategy and school improvement plan. This is essential in ensuring we have the team and skills in place to adjust to the needs of our pupils at any given time.

Our Childcare Provision
School offers provision for 4-11 year olds.
On site we have Twincle, offering a pre-school provision for 2 year olds upwards.
Before school a breakfast club is in operation and after school there are always a number of clubs. We also have Goslings, a third party provider of after school care from 3:20pm to 6:00pm.
