I am a qualified primary teacher with 5 years of experience teaching Years 1-6. I love to make learning entertaining and exciting and am currently teaching a Pre-Prep class.
I have a degree in wildlife conservation and ecology as well as a PGCE from Southampton University.
I am trained in Paediatric First Aid and I'm DBS checked.
I am passionate about providing COVID catch up help to children who missed/had a disjointed school year due to the pandemic.
My Experience
I have taught a wide range of ages in the primary sector and am comfortable teaching each area of the curriculum. My specific skills lie in teaching early reading and writing and I am enthusiastic about every child finding their 'author voice'.
Whilst I teach according to the National Curriculum, the school I am based at enables me to have the freedom to teach creatively and encourages learning from the world around us. This enables me to plan fun and engaging lessons. I have a passion for encouraging children to build a growth mindset in order to raise their self-esteem.
