I am a child carer with approximately 20 years experience with babies and children from newborn up to 10 years of age.
I am kind, responsible and very gentle and I have cared for 8 very small babies and children of all other ages up to 10 years old.

I have lots of experience with babies, toddlers and older children. I have many excellent, checkable references.
My Qualifications
I hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate, an OCN Maternity Practitioner Award, a B-tec qualification , a Baby Massage teacher's qualification, a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate and a clear DBS that is dated 11th March 2016. (It's on the update service.)
My Availability
I have a genuine love of babies and children and I'm always fascinated to watch them growing as people and learning about the world. I have approximately 20 years experience working in childcare with the ages of new born to 10 years old. I am developmentally focused in my approach encouraging babies and children to learn through their own discovery. I have a positive disposition and I have enjoyed lovely relationships with all of the children and families that I have worked with. I am experienced in with baby and child related issues like settling into routines, weaning , potty training, tantrums etc and I can offer advice if required.
I have good organisational skills and I am very creative. I love doing arts and crafts and I also think it's really important that children have regular outside play . I love to cook from scratch and I often use Annabel Carmel's recipes.
My interests include child development, singing, yoga , mindfulness and walking in the countryside.

Sarah helped to look after my son from around 8 weeks old and I could not have done it without her. Sarah is so gentle and kind and my son took to her immediately. She really took the time to understand his needs as well as mine over the months which was really great. Anyone would be lucky to have Sarah care for their children. I am so so grateful to her for what she has meant to my family. Would give her 6 stars if I could.

We had Sarah as our part time nanny for the (covid) summer to take care of our 5 year old son. She was absolutely amazing and had a calming effect on our son and our entire family. Sarah is incredibly caring, and took time to think up things that he would like and always came with arms full of activities to entertain him. She was very good about creating a structure to the day so that he became immersed in a routine and always knew what was coming next, which was nice during these uncertain times. She was great with creating boundaries with our very active son. She was flexible on timing in case we had late meetings, and very reliable and dependable. I have absolute trust in Sarah and we even left him overnight with her once so we could get a mini-break. We loved her so much we tried to convince her to stay for after school care!! We'd have her back anytime!

Sarah is a fantastic babysitter for our 10 month old. She is kind, calm, compassionate and trustworthy and we never had any worries leaving him .with her. We would highly recommend her.

Sarah is a great support and very caring part time nanny for our 10month daughter. I felt completely comfortable leaving her with Sarah right from the start. She is extremely compassionate towards our daughter (and our pets). She is both reliable and trustworthy. I asked Sarah to do lots of cooking during nap times and she has been great at filling the freezer with healthy baby meals and even cooking some for us. Sarah was happy to follow our parenting style and she gives helpful tips and suggestions when we encounter problems.

Sarah started working for us in January on a part time basis and I highly recommend her. She has a genuine love of children and pets and is extremely trustworthy, conscientious and reliable.
