About Me
, I live with my husband Dean. We have three children we have a lively busy home. I have always worked with children. I’m the oldest of a big family and used to look after siblings. I also worked in a toddler group for over thirteen years. We have a cat Chloe and some fish in a covered tank.
I enjoy giving new experiences to my children and seeing things through their eyes. All children and their parents and carers are welcome and valued in our home. Diversities and differences are celebrated in my home. We welcome everyone together each time the children meet so everyone has a voice in our group. We also have an “about me” when each child has details they can share with each other like favourite food favourite toys so everyone is and feels an important part of the group.
My child minding style is fun and is based on child led play, with some activities introduced on themes like space, animals, nature, seasons, and festivals. Toys are rotated so that the children have a wide experience. Children are also encouraged to help with food and baking; we also have messy play and a water table in the garden. My home has equipment for different ages/stages For example, we have step ups for the younger ones which are out the way for older children.
My home is child friendly. The garden is walled, securely locked decked and enclosed. The bathroom is on the ground floor and is easy to use for the children.

My Experience
I have been a Childminder since April 2014, I have worked as a Classroom Assistant in Primary School.I worked in a Toddler Group for over thirteen years,I am the oldest of four and Mum to Three , So I enjoy the noise , questions , excitement and the fun . Acorns-Childminding with , Nature ,learning , crafts,giggles and the School runs !!
My Qualifications
I have gained the Caerphilly Quality Standards Award .I have L5 & L3 C&G Level 3 Diploma for Childrens Care, Learning and Development , this builds on my C&G level 3 Classroom Assistant , which gave my experience of the Early Years.I hold the necessary certs and training , but I also regularly attend non mandatory courses to add to my knowledge and experiences , recently this included the PACEY Sports, Play to Learn and Risky Play.The Children have really enjoyed and benefited from these programmes and I continue to update my settings with new experiences and activities.
