About Me
Hello and welcome to Tori’s Loving Childcare!
My name is Tori, I am 42 years old and live with my husband and 2 of our three children who are aged 14 and 20, our cat plus her companion a very small dog. I am an extremely small setting, and am a forest childcare provider, giving the few children in my care my full attention, time and lots of out door experiences.
I am OFSTED Registered and accept payments from tax free childcare, voucher schemes, student grants or 2, 3 and 4 year funding.
I follow the early years foundation stage for under 5s to make sure child development is continuous. The curriculum is tailored to our ethos of learning outdoors with nature, so we spend each day balanced outside as well as in my home.
I strongly believe in learning through play and a child’s own interest, also that children need to spend time outdoors, that they can grow and develop well in outside spaces giving them confidence and skills which will stay with them throughout life. I believe that spending time outdoors is very important. The children go outdoors here every day, no matter what the weather (I provide puddle suits so sensible clothes for the wet weather!) We have a fully enclosed back garden that the children can access whenever they want. But we also live near to lovely parks, woodland areas and nature reserves and we visit one of these places most days. We value outdoor learning a lot.
Included in fees are all breakfast, am and pm snacks, plus outings.

Working in a crèche for children 0-5
Working in a preschool with children 2-5
Working in an all year nursery as room leader in the 2-5 toddler room, then room leader in the 3-5 preschool room teaching letters and sounds, and deputy manager of the preschool/after school building.
Experience with various special educational needs, health needs and physical needs.

We absolutely love Tori! She's very caring, flexible and so easy to talk to. As a mother herself she really understands your and your child's needs. She always sends me loads of pictures that I could see how his day is going and also writes a daily diary where I can find all the info I need.
My one year old son from first day felt really comfortable around her. He loves playing with all the different toys at her setting and really enjoys everyday activities she offers too: from creative themed playing at home to outings to local farms, parks and toddler groups. Couldn't ask for a better childminder, would definitely recommend to anyone.
