About Me
Hi, my name is Rebecca and I’m 22 years old. I graduated the University West Of Scotland a BA Hons in Education Studies. I am an assistant dance teacher at a local dance school and work with children from the ages of 2-16, which I’ve been thoroughly enjoying since I started 6 years ago.
My Experience
I have been babysitting for my neighbours (who’s sons are now 5 and 12 months for upwards of 4.5 years now, and have an excellent bond with them. We have days together if I haven’t babysat in a while (not paid) just to continue to develop our bond and give his parents a rest - especially with a newborn. I have done odd-jobs babysitting mainly through family friends but always ensure the children are happy, healthy and in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Other than my experience through teaching dance and volunteering as a rainbow and guide leader, I’ve also had experiences in a school setting, including working with children with additional support needs. Furthermore I regularly help to look after my step-dads granddaughter who is autistic and non verbal and I work closely with her to learn her needs and wants and I can now communicate with her effectively.
My Qualifications
I have an up to date PVG, that I will happily provide a copy of, I have first aid/heart start training through my school and my guides.
My Availability
I have full availability although plan on going into a local school twice weekly to help develop my skills.
