About Me
Hi! I currently work full time at the University of Oxford. I have been working with a family of 4 for the last 2.5 years, but sadly they are now moving back to the US. I am looking for a similar situation: I have been working with them almost every weekend for a few hours, to provide the parents some alone time, as well as ad hoc evenings / longer days. I really value the chance to get to know a family well, and babysit consistently for them, as it helps the children become more comfortable. Happy to consider slightly different hours / rate for the right family!
My Experience
I am the oldest child of 5, two of whom have special needs (autism and adhd, and Downs Syndrome). I have volunteered in two schools, one mainstream and one special. I also volunteered at a local charity Allsorts for several years which supports children with special needs and their families. I have vast experience as a babysitter and a nanny, and have additionally done some tutoring.
My Qualifications
I have an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Bristol and a masters degree in Librarianship from the University of Sheffielf. Whilst I have no specific childcare qualifications I have large amounts of experience.
My Availability
I am mostly available weekends and evenings, however, I can be a little flexible with my day job hours.
