About Me

Hello, I am Kemi at K&S Babysitting Service and I was previously a Room Leader of a baby room at a nursery and was in this role from June 2022 to October 2023. I have a bubbly personality and I’m a very loving, patient and caring person who likes to pay attention to detail in order to ensure parents and children feel confident, safe and happy with my service!

With K&S Babysitting Services we provide exceptional professional in-home babysitting for families in South East London seeking reliable and nurturing care for children. With 6 years of experience we prioritise safety, engagement and growth with every moment we spend with your little ones. We are committed to tailoring our care to each child’s needs and interests. We pride ourselves on using open communication with parents, providing updates and addressing any concerns promptly to keep parents informed and confident!

My Experience

Room Leader, 06/2022 to 10/2023
Fennies, Bromley
As a Room Leader at Fennies, I was an important member of the management team as I was responsible for supervising the busy day-to-day activities and routines in the room whilst ensuring the safety of the children and staff members in my care. I start the day making sure the setting and the team are ready for the children to arrive. During drop-offs and pick-ups, I build bonds with parents to develop strong partnerships. I know the best practice for implementing the key person approach, health & safety and safeguarding systems. I organise the routines in my room, whether that be naptimes, mealtimes, or imaginative activities. I use positivity and passion to inspire the team and create a friendly nursery setting.

Deputy Camp Manager (previously Early Years Coordinator), 04/2021 to 06/2022
Camp Beaumont, Croydon
As an Early Years Coordinator, I had the overall responsibility for the welfare of the early years age group ‘Playtime’(3-4 year olds), I have a small team of staff to deliver outstanding activities to the children in line with the EYFS and manage the children outside activity times. I manage the behaviour and welfare of the children of the group; Ensure equipment is stored correctly and used in the right way; Between activities, ensure the children have the opportunity to use the toilet, have a drink and/or apply sun cream (if necessary); Have knowledge of safeguarding policy and procedures and report any issues to the onsite safeguarding lead; Manage the Early Years Leaders within my group; Ensure activity areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and assist with set up and breakdown of camp.

As the Deputy Camp Manager of Camp Beaumont I supported the Camp Manager in the day to day management of the camp. I was responsible for tasks like timetabling, assisting staff management and customer service. The needs of the children and the parents are the focus at the camp, so was important that they were priority in all camp tasks that I conduct throughout the day.

Bank Staff Member, 01/2021 to 03/2022
Busy Bees, Sevenoaks
A bank member of staff at Busy Bees is expected to work shifts as and when required within all age groups and to develop skills through working alongside practitioners who will be able to share best practice. The role included ensuring every child’s needs are met, safeguarding the children, helping create a setting that is clean and welcoming, with well-kept educational resources. I helped around the setting, in different rooms, where I managed the children’s behavior, monitored during activities, helped other staff members prepare and organise their plans for the lesson by following the EYFS curriculum and I also ensured that children were safe at all times. I selected appropriate stories based on the age of the children as well as teachable moments, I read to groups and promoted discussions based on content as well as used positive reinforcement techniques to promote patience and other good behaviours in children.

Stoke Green Day Nursery from September 2018 - March 2020
For my second year of university, I was placed at Stoke Greent Day Nursery where I also did placement up until January 2019 when they then offered me a permanent position as a nursery practitioner. During this role, I am responsible for keeping the children’s development journals up-to-date as well as enhance their development by guiding them and teaching them with activities using the EYFS guidelines. I also ensure to communicate with parents on how to help their children develop mentally and physically.

My Qualifications

I currently have 7 A*-C GCSEs including Maths and English. I have a Higher National Certificate and a Higher National Diploma in Early Childhood Learning and Development.

Kemi helped me out with a babysitting evening at a hotel while I was at a friend’s party.
Everything worked seamlessly, my daughter enjoyed immensely, and everyone had a great evening.
Don’t be shy to speak with Kemi about your child-related needs.
