About Me
Since moving to Cambridge three years ago I have been a stay-at-home mom, and now looking to reenter the workforce. I recently started training as a doula, so I am interested in working with families that are pregnant or have recently had a baby. I am available to do any household chores, help with children, or help parent(s) pre/post birth. I am not yet a certified doula, which my price reflects, but I have extensive experience working with a diverse range of children and families. Due to the nature of doula work, I am happy to take on clients temporarily, just for the time of their need if preferred. I am also happy to take on families who are not expecting, but just looking for an extra set of hands.
My Experience
I started babysitting as a teenager and have always had jobs working with kids. In university I worked at a daycare center and was a case manager at a local domestic violence shelter. For the previous ten years before moving to Cambridge I was in the education field teaching English and training teachers around the world. I have a five-year-old daughter and have spent the last few years home caring for her until she started school last year.
My Qualifications
I hold two Bachelor's Degrees from Purdue University; one in Child Development and one in Psychology. I am First Aid/CPR trained, hold a TESOL certification, and currently working on becoming a certified doula.
My Availability
My availability is somewhat flexible depending on the day. Easiest times to arrange are any hours before 6pm. I am also available some evenings and weekends upon request.

We hired Ashley to babysit our 2-year-old daughter in September 2023, and we're incredibly pleased with the exceptional care she provides. Ashley is responsible, trustworthy, and genuinely fond of children. Our daughter loves spending time with her.
Ashley's communication has been excellent; she keeps us informed about our child's day, sending pictures and updates. She even took the initiative to find local playgroups and brings enriching activities from home. We appreciate the effort she puts into making our daughter's time enjoyable and meaningful.
We can throughly recommend Ashley as a babysitter.
