About Me
I’m a warm hearted, caring local mum, who loves being with kids, and wants to spend more time with them!
I love being creative, being outside, going on adventures and being in nature. I’m also pretty musical! I love the Montessori approach and enjoy learning more about it (when I get some time!), and have a passion for exploring alternative approaches to education. My son is at a Montessori school, and I love the independence it gives him. I’m passionate about being with children and allowing them to explore for themselves, especially outside, and love seeing the world through their eyes!
My Experience
As well as being mum to a bouncy 9 year old boy, I have lots of experience working with primary aged children. I am UK trained Primary Teacher, and have worked as a supply teacher in numerous schools, as well as private Tutoring, Mentoring, and Confidence Coaching with children aged 5-11, many of whom had multiple SEN, including Autism and ADHD.
I have run a UK kids summer camp, have worked for Camp America twice, and taught in France for 1 month and Kenya for 4 months.
I have nannying experience with ages 10 months- 6 years, and currently work one afternoon a week with a 6 year old and 2 year old.
I speak French reasonably (bit rusty!) and some Spanish and Italian- enough to sing some songs and learn some basic words if that was wanted!
I have recently developed a special fondness for tiny people, having had a tiny person of my own!

2:1 BA hons Degree Combined Hons Social Sciences (2003) - Durham University
Fully DBS cleared and on the updates service.
My Availability
UPDATE- APRIL 2024
I offer Nannying, Tutoring, Mentoring, and Confidence Coaching, and am currently available for a few hours a day, or couple of days per week. I specialise in being outside with kids, and making learning fun.
I’m also available for school pickups locally if needed. My son comes back to Lewes on the school bus at 3.55pm, so he would be with us if after school care was needed on certain days.
Also available for evening babysitting, and ad hoc/emergency childcare, and Friday and Saturday nights (including overnight), as well as some days in half terms and holidays.

- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
Childcare from £16/hr daytimes
£12.50/hr evening babysitting.
Overnights negotiable.
