About Me
Hello, my name is Beth and I’m 19. I’ve been caring for children for over two years. I have been extremely lucky to have experience with caring for children for the age of 2 up to 17 in a range of different environments including the home and school. I am currently on crutches but pride myself on being very adaptable and hardworking. I really enjoy getting stuck in with all activities and games as well as making learning fun when it comes to round homework.
I am currently studying at the University of Winchester to be a teacher specialising in special need and inclusion.
My Experience
I have cared for children for over two years now in many different environments including the home, school and during social occasions. I have had the pleasure of working in two different primary schools as a TA working 1:1 with SEN children as well as helping the class in a more general way. I have taken on tutoring for children who have struggled to catch up after the pandemic at both school and in the home. I have cared for children during the day and also overnight taking on responsibilities such as dinner and bath time.
I have a younger sibling who has learning difficulties as well as being partially deaf which has meant that I have learnt to adapt to new ways of thinking and approaching things.
My Qualifications
I hold an enhanced DBS check and have completed first aid courses but not specifically aimed at young children.
I have completed safeguarding courses and awareness courses for a range of additional needs.
My Availability
Alongside being a university student I also occasionally need to be home to support my parents with my younger sibling so my availability does change.
