About Me
Hiya! I am Emma, 32 years old and I returned to Glasgow at the end of August 2022 after living and working in Nepal for the last 4 years. I have worked with children and adolescents for over 12 years in various roles in schools and community settings including with children that have additional needs, neurodiversity or social/emotional challenges.
I am studying a Doctorate in Psychology, and am looking for some ad-hoc part-time childcare or babysitting roles to supplement this. I currently have a permanent post working with a family that has 3 children (3,7&9) so I am looking for more occasional helping roles on top of this.
My Experience
I have worked with children of ages through 3-18 years, both as learning support but also in a pastoral capacity. I studied a PGCert in Therapeutic Play, which has helped me to enjoy and immerse in creative play alongside children of all ages. I love being outdoors (in all weathers!) and lead a fairly active lifestyle. I am also a qualified yoga teacher, so I am happy to bring this into our days too if it is something that your family are interested in.

My Qualifications
I have a BSc in Psychology, a PGCert in Therapeutic Play and am currently studying a DPsych in Counselling Psychology. I also have my 200hr Yoga Teacher Certificate.
I have had regular DBS/PVG and police checks and always keep these updated. I can show you my current PVG and offer references if you would like these.
