Hi there, I'm Ben, and thank you for viewing my profile.
I have twelve years Childcare experience, with children aged 1-12 years. Previously, I was working for council's co-ordinating After-School Clubs, and advising childcare providers on improving their practice, but I have taken a step back from that now.
I'm currently looking after a lovely nine year old boy with ADHD and Asperger's, as well as doing some dog walking. I am a loving father to my 14 year old daughter, but I have some time available, particularly in the evenings to do some baby/child sitting.
I am a fun, friendly person, who loves the outdoors, nature, and animals. I find children so much fun, and I strongly believe in learning through play, encouraging children to explore and express themselves in their own time and at their own pace in order for them to achieve their full potential :)
My Experience
I am an experienced Childcare worker, dedicated to improving children’s wellbeing in School, Children Centre, and family home environments. My roles include: Forest School, ASC's, Early Years, Children's Centres, Youth Centres, and mentoring. I offer exceptional levels of childcare and support to children from diverse backgrounds, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
My Qualifications
Level's 2 & 3 Playwork Dipolma, Foundation Degree, DBS, Chair-based Exercises Instructor.
My Availability
I have some care commitments from Tuesday - Thursday, and on some days during holidays, but I book these weeks/months in advance so there I do have lots of flexibility.
