A parent myself, I see the positives in life and in all around us, I am friendly, enthusiastic, fun to be around. I believe in conscious parenting, positive energy, I am well organised, creative, adaptable, reliable and capable of working on my own initiative. I am a professional event manager by trade working in private education for the past 15 years and also babysitting for my private clients throughout this time.
I do have a kind and caring nature with abundance and tons of patience and calmness about me which enables me to work with children at all levels and age groups.
I am a creative soul, love arts and crafts projects, getting messy, building/construction, sewing, gardening, baking, stories, IT, role playing and discovering the world around us to build on literacy and numeracy skills. I am great at thinking outside the box and I enjoy taking children on day trips and outings, e.g to the garden centre, farm, woods, play centre, dinosaur park, museum, cinema, zoo or park with safety at the forefront.
I believe all children have an incommensurable potential when they are allowed to thrive, I am truly passionate about nurturing their curiosities, help them build character and strengths and discover a world of endless possibilities. I believe you can bring out the best in them by empowering them to take ownership of their own learning and providing good routines and creating an excellent structured learning environment with occasional flexibility I absolutely adore seeing the world through their eyes and I am committed to make a positive change to every single child development through role playing, growth mindsets and exploring their own individual potential.
My Experience
I bring over 15 years of experience working within the private education sector in London and Surrey in a variety of roles across different schools from General Catering Manager, Event Manager, Tutor and safeguarding lead, Exam Invigilator, Forest School leader and lately private tutor for primary school age groups. I volunteered at Chilworth Infant primary school while my son was there, I played my part in an after-school/weekend club while working at Charterhouse who run summer camps and weekend childcare. I have been very fortunate to work with so many wonderful local and international parents and their children. I have recently tutored and supported my son through his 11+ exams and proud that he has know secured a secondary school place at a prestigious school in Guildford.
While working in the private education sector I gained lots of skills, knowledges and understanding of teaching and learnings through fun and creativity while spending time in nature and nurturing human connections and interaction. I created, planned and implemented activities with my own son and his pier groups, my privates clients and all of my friends kids who come over for playdates. I aim to promote and engage in effective playing, teaching and learning connecting to the level of each child. I also encourage positive behaviour in children and deal with any challenging behaviour in a firm and consistent manner.
I have my own car and a clean driving licence and have an enhanced DBS Check via the Disclosure and Barring Service, have completed First Aid course and other first aid trainings before Pandemic and I am also a mental health first aider.
