About Me
I am offering before and after school care for Weeke school from September 2019. I can also offer childcare in your home or my home in the school holidays.
I live in the Weeke area of Winchester with my husband. I have been a childminder for over 25 years. Within this time I have looked after many children, caring for children from 3 months to 13 years. The children in my care become very much part of the family and there are a number of children I have cared for since they were babies and now I collect and look after them before and after school.
I have a large bungalow with which has been modernised and adapted with the children in mind, including a safe and secure outdoor area for them to play and explore.
We have a cat which is friendly and likes to be handled.
Ofsted commented that my work with parents is outstanding. I very much feel that parents are the most important people in a child’s life and I always ensure that I include and work together with parents to provide the best care for each child.
My Experience
With over 25 years’ experience in childminding I have worked with a diverse range of children. Within this time I have gained a great understanding of their needs, and pride myself on providing a tailor made service for the children and families.
I am a member of the Quality Assured Network for Childminder and PACEY (previously NCMA).
My Qualifications
NVQ 3 Early Years Care and Education
CACHE L3 Certificate in Early Years Foundation Stage Practice
Paediatric First Aid Certificate
In addition I have had training in

My Availability
I collect from weeke primary school. A childcare vacancy will be available 4 days per week ( Mon-Thurs 7.30am till 9am then 3.30pm till 6pm. I would be more than happy for you to contact me for a chat with regards to your future requirements. Please note I no longer care for early years aged child.

Gillian responded incredibly quickly for same day babysitting for our three under 4yrs and didn’t disappoint.
Gillian is a registered childminder and sent me her ofsted report prior to arrival which I appreciated.
Gillian arrived on time and after a quick chat we were on our way to Portsmouth knowing the boys were in safe hands. Gillian even had a plan thought through as to what to do if they woke up, so we wouldn’t have to race home.
Will definitely be asking Gillian to sit for our boys again. Thank you so much
