My Experience
I have worked in childcare for eleven years, working in two private day care nurseries and for the past nine years as a private nanny. In nurseries I looked after children from the age of birth to six. As a nanny I have cared for a baby from the age of four to twelve months, helped care for a newborn baby and a four and five year old alongisde their mother and looked after a one year old baby. I have also worked in a nanny share lookingafter two babies from the age of six months to four years old. In my most recent position I looked after a newborn baby alongside a one year old and a two year old full time, sole charge. I have an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Studies, an enhanced DBS check as well as 10 GCSEs all at A/A* grade and four A Levels. I have worked with all ages of children from birth to eight years old and have extensive experience with babies and pre-school age children. I also have over a year’s experience working with toddlers, helping to develop their speech and communication, physical development etc.

I currently employ Alex as a part time nanny to look after my 5 month old baby boy two days per week. Alex is also always willing to help out around the house with basic chores.
Alex is punctual, reliable, motivated, energetic, always interacts well with my son and is happy to take him out to the park and to baby groups.
In a short space of time Alex has built up a good bond with my son.
