About Me
I'm Ofsted Registered and a member of PACEY. I live in Thatcham on the Whiteland's estate and offer drop offs/pick ups to Whiteland's Park and Playmates Preschool. I have lived in Thatcham for 8 years and have two children, my son Jake who is 5 and my daughter Jaime who is 2, and we have our lovely cat Joey. I love the local area and feel very settled here as I have previously moved around to various places. Before becoming a childminder I have always worked in caring and educating environments, with a range of different ages and abilitles.
I am caring and creative and offer flexible and reliable care in a warm family environment. I have a dedicated playroom which is a bright and colourful space with direct access to the garden offering a free flow environment. We have lots of toys and books for all ages which are easily accessible to the children and a trampoline and mud kitchen in the garden.
We visit local playgroups, the Children's Centre, the library, music groups and messy play sessions as well as lots of local parks and woods, Thatcham Discovery Centre and National Trust places. We enjoy lots of days out in the holidays and whenever possible.
My Experience
Before becoming a childminder I worked as a Learning Support Assistant in a Primary School, supporting children in the Foundation Stage so I have a good understanding of the EYFS requirements and how to deliver these in a home environment. I have also supported children with higher support needs, challenging behaviours, Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language difficulties. I decided to become a childminder as I feel this role gives me the opportunity to combine all of my previous experience as well as enjoying family life and delivering the care and experiences to others that I would be happy for my own children to receive.

Holidays
In each calendar year I will take a maximum of 3 full weeks (including Christmas Week) and 5 ad hoc day holiday. I will notify you of these as far in advance as possible. There will be no charge for these days.
