About Me

I am a recently registered childminder with 26 years of experience in childcare. 13 of those as a childminder from 1999, then 13 years as a nanny and am now returning to childminding. I live in a village just south of Winchester (SO21), with my husband, 1 of my grown up children and dog.

My Experience

As an experienced childcare provider I use a warm, friendly and caring approach to encourage children to flourish and reach their developmental goals by building and maintaining a secure and trusting relationship with both the children and their families. I provide opportunities for the children to meet with other children/childminders/nannies, attend tots groups, play and sing sessions, soft play and role play sessions and enjoy other activities such as feeding the ducks, going to the park/zoo, cooking, arts and crafts and sensory activities. The most important part of my job as a childcare provider is that the children in my care feel happy, safe and secure whilst at the same time having fun.

My Qualifications

I have my NVQ 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, Level 3 in preparing to work in home based childcare, safeguarding, paediatric first aid and have attended various other courses such as introduction to EYFS (early years foundation stage) and implementing EYFS.

My Availability

I have availability Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
