About Me
Update: We’re currently looking for a reliable, weekly, nanny from 3.15-6/7pm every term time Tuesday. Starting September 2026 with some “getting to know you/us” sessions over the summer. The post will involve walking to collect our 2 younger children from the local Primary, the two older ones will let themselves in. Snack time, connection, getting kids to lay the table, and heating up dinner provided, and sharing dinner together.

I am a SAHP with four children ages 5, 7, 10, and 12 years old. My husband works in Cardiff. I am starting to get back in to work, requiring occasional training days / courses. We need occasional after-school / evening support from mature and experienced babysitter / nanny who has experience supporting multiple children with a kind and boundaried manner. We parent respectfully and non-punitively, and try to respect the developmental stages our children are at. Our kids are generally happy, engaging, spirited, lovely kids.
My Requirements
We already have a really lovely babysitter, who is great with us and the kids. We're looking for someone who can supplement what we already have with her.
We’re looking for someone who will mind the kids occasionally after school, or in the evenings. This may also lead to a regular, weekly, session. Duties might include preparing snacks, playing, supervising after-school chores, and serving dinner (I will leave something easy), getting kids ready for bed; occasionally we may ask you to put the younger kids to bed too, on the odd occasion we might want you to stay late while we have an evening out.
We are an LGBTQ+ family. We’re also a bit neurodivergent. It is important to us that any people working with our family embraces these parts of us.
We have been paying £15 p/h for babysitting / nannying; we are happy to discuss rates with any interested applicants.
We live in a rural village location, Colwinston, so own transport is essential. Non smoker only.

Sam has looked after a four children a few times now, and they love her! She’s engaging without being loud, pays attention to the individual kids, and is just a nice person to have around. Not fazed by our troop of 5-13yr olds either. She’s also been reliable and communicates well.
