The best childminder you'll find!!
I feel that I can say with certainty that we could not have found anyone better than Emma.
I have sat here for a while trying to start this review and think of what Emma does best, but truly I think she does all of it outstandingly. Emma is very reliable and in the 3 years of being with Emma not once has she left us hanging at short notice, if at all. Emma's home is extremely clean and tidy with tonnes of fun and educational toys which are always being updated. They also spend a lot of time outside, come rain or shine, which I really think is important for children; and I have to say, my children never come home messy!
Emma's food is always praised by my daughter, and Emma has managed to get her eating things that blow my mind; "mummy, my favourite lunch is sardines on toast" - can you imagine!!! And on pick up I always get a full menu run down which makes my mouth water!
It's really clear that Emma nurtures a lovely relationship between the children too which by virtue permeates through to the parents. I really love the little community of us parents that Emma has built because as we all know it starts at home. On days when my girls are not with Emma, I regularly see her in action at a playgroup, and I can confirm she really is super woman.
My daughters communication and vocabulary as well as all the marquee and milestone events through those important early years (such as fine and gross motor skills etc etc) have been undoubtedly improved from Emma's input. Emma has the patience of a saint and really stuck by us with potty training which I was so grateful for.
When we were initially looking for a childminder, we were looking for almost an extension to our family unit as we don't have our families nearby, and Emma has absolutely met that brief. She has been so kind and helpful to us and I don't think we could have got through some of our trials without Emma's support when it comes to our girls; even if we haven't had to utilise it, its been a huge peace of mind. I trust Emma wholeheartedly, and upon dropping off I always walk away knowing that my children are safe and happy.
If Emma didn't already do enough, she makes events throughout the year extra special, including Halloween and Christmas. Those are events I really look forward to at Emma's regardless of my children!! She breeds a lovely sense of community which I think is very important for children to see.
On a personal level, I also really enjoy Emma's company. She is very personable, easy to talk to and a cracking sense of humour; which I think is really important as discussing childcare and development can be tricky, and it never is with Emma.
It will be a sad day when both of my girls have gotten older and started school and we won't see Emma any more; I'm wondering if she could look after me!
I could go on and on and I would be very happy to speak directly to any prospective parents if they have any questions, as you really are getting the very best.
