About Me
I am 55 years old; I have two boys oldest Callum who is 25 years old and Fraser who is 22. They are great full of life. We are also lucky to have a 12 year old Working Cocker Spaniel called Shadow, who is very loving and child friendly, and a 6 year old Beagle called Harper and a 3 year old King Charles Cavalier . all the children that I care for love the dogs to bits. Especially outside in extensive garden on my property.
I have lived in Glenrothes for most of my life, and have a house in South Parks area, a 2 minute walk to Riverside Park . My house is very central with plenty of amenities close by which offer plenty of things for children to do; play parks, soft play areas, play groups, swimming etc, a variety of play parks close by in Riverside park area
My Experience
I have 20+ years of experience having 2 children of my own, and I have been a registered childminder for 16 years and love taking care of children, and watching them grow and develop, especially love watching their little personalities grow. My experience is from caring for my Nieces and Nephew and also caring for my friends children. When my children were of nursery age I frequently volunteered in the nursery helping children with their daily play activities and assisting nursery staff in outdoor play areas and outings.
I am a Swimming Teacher with 20+ years experience also and currently teach children of pre-school and school age on a weekly basis, with the responsibility of classes numbering up to 10 children from all abilities, I also regularly take my existing childminding children swimming on a weekly basis whenever possible. I preferably cover the south parks area, where I am able to walk and let the children get lots play and fresh air outside.
I also have experience in respite childcare and kinship care

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Competitive Rates:
I charge £6
If unsociable hours are required, I charge £7.50 per hour, before 7 am after 5:30 pm and this rate goes for public holidays.
If holidays are taken during contracted hours, this also includes term-time holidays to secure your place, I charge half rate... the same applies when I'm on holiday.

My son has been going to Fiona for almost a year now and I can honestly say I couldn't be happier with the care he receives. Fiona is very passionate about her job and always goes the extra mile, she regularly attends playgroups which my son loves, long walks with her gorgeous dog and has even taken my son swimming to boost his confidence in the water. Fiona is kind caring and approachable, nothing is too much to ask of her.
I was extremely nervous about returning to work after having my son and Fiona made the whole process as easy as she could. She completes a daily diary and always sends me little updates through the day. My son has developed such a wonderful relationship with not only Fiona but her sons and his best friend Shadow the dog! He comes home daily having learned new words and skills, often surprising me with words I haven't heard him say before! I also love when he brings home drawings he has done with Fiona!
Fionas home is beautiful and full of toys and books. My son simply loves going and hates leaving! I would absolutely recommend Fiona to anyone looking for a childminder. I feel 100% confident my son is in the best hands whilst I go to work especially when I go to pick him up and he doesn't want to leave!
