My Summary
About Me
I am a fully insured nanny, I have been working in childcare for the last 5 years. I have worked in a variety of childcare settings.
I am confident caring for children and build strong relationships with both children and adults. I am creative and enjoy researching and putting together a varied range of activities to keep children stimulated and amused.
I communicate well and am able to relate to people on a range of levels. I am organised and like a challenge. People always comment on how polite and courteous I am. I also work well under pressure, but while still remaining positive.
I am keen to continue my professional development and am always willing to try something new.
My Experience
I have been working for children for about 5 years ranging from nannying to nursery work. I have babysat regularly for a few families over the years, I used to prepare bottles, bath the children, read stories and put the children to bed.
Whilst I was studying I was nannying for a family with children aged 10months and 4 years old. I would drop the children off at nursery in the morning and collect them in the evening, I would prepare an evening snack and do bath time with the children.
I then went on to work in a nursery with children aged 0-2. I was a key worker for 5 children and did weekly observations on each child, change nappies, organise activities, prepare snack, lunch and dinner. I temporarily ran the baby room before I went on maternity leave.
After maternity leave I began nannying for a child who was 9 months old, I would collect the child from nursery in the afternoon and take her for a walk, prepare snack, put the child down for nap where I would then do a few household tasks. On days where I had the child all day I would take her out for the day to places like the zoo and soft play.
I then went on to work as a room leader and third in charge at a local nursery but sadly my partner fell ill which meant I needed to be at home to care for him.
I am currently not looking for work as I have just had my second baby however I will be looking for work in the later in the new year so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need help then.
