About Me
My name is Lindsey Penton I am 44 and live with My Daughter who is 7 This August. I am a non-smoker and I we have a 3 year old sprocker who has been with us since 8weeks old. I had been a Nanny for over 10 years before starting Childminding 7 years ago. It has always been a big love of mine to look after Children.
My desire to becoming a childminder is because I am very passionate about children and helping them develop and grow. Now I have my own child, it is lovely to have her with me whilst I work.
I am a registered Childminder and have completed my ChIP Course and do regular paediatric First Aid courses so that I am up to date on all First aid. My first aid was renewed in October 2021. I have a food hygiene and Safeguarding certificate along with a portfolio of certificates for all areas of child development.
I live in Merstham in a two bedroomed ground floor flat with a large front and back garden. The back garden is very secure and fenced in.
I live very close to both Merstham First School, Lime tree and Furzefield Primary School. I am very happy to collect children from these schools and am also very flexible with other local areas and my working hours. I am happy to start early and finish late if needed Monday to Thursday. I have also worked overnight so would be happy to do overnight stays if needed.
I have a Full clean Uk driving licence and always happy to use my car to take children to activities and take or collect from school if need be.
Lindsey's Childminding offers a caring home from home environment, whilst following the curriculum of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). My home is a ground floor flat, therefore all facilities are on one level, and your child will have full access to the living room, play room and self contained garden, with access to the kitchen when helping with cooking and baking. Child led and free play is encouraged, I will have themes and activities throughout the year which the children will be encouraged to participate in but it is not essential. Use of the great outdoors is encouraged and I aim to get out and about daily and in all weathers.
My Experience
My last full time, sole charge nanny position ended July 2014 and was for a wonderful family in Merstham who have two beautiful children, a girl who's five and a boy who is six. My previous job was full time, sole charge for five amazing years with three beautiful children. Two who were at secondary school and one in his last year at Primary School. Before that my role was much the same, with sole charge of three children and I also had the pleasure of working very closely with their little girl who had Down Syndrome and learnt many new skills being her carer. I have worked with children of various ages from new born to 15years of age. One of my most rewarding positions was helping to care for new born triplets during the first year of their lives. I have developed many skills along the way being around young children and learned that not one child is the same as the next and each child is individual and has its own needs and personalities.

My Availability
I am available September 2026 , so please do get in touch
I offer flexible opening hours but primarily my setting is open between 8:00am & 6:00pm, if you require care outside of these hours please discuss it with me.
I offer overnight care from my setting if it's ever something you need.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My hourly rate is £7.00, I offer a Sibling discount of 10%
Fees are paid in advance and payment is due on the 1st of each month. Invoices will be issued on or after the 15th day of the month prior to payment being due.
I will provide healthy Snacks throughout the day as well as a healthy and balanced Lunch and dinner for all children that I care for. This has an additional charge of £5 per day.
All meals will be freshly prepared and homemade.
