Hiya my name is Deb. I am married and I have 3 children who are all grown up and have 7 grandchildren. Also we have a dog called Apricot.
I have been a Registered Childminder for previously 12 years and after a break i decided to return back to childminding and re registered in August 2020 as missed it so much.
I am very friendly person and very approachable.
I offer a home from home setting which is safe and secure for your child to enjoy and learn and play.
My Experience
I am registered with CIW and am Quality Assured. Was also previously involved with the Children Comes First Network and I have worked with many families over the years who needed extra support during difficult times or even restbite. Each family had different requirements and needs which I worked in close partnership with Social Services to help with the support for these families and have also been involved with Flying Start. I am also a member of Early Years Wales And also a member of Pacey.
My Qualifications
I have NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, I have my Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene and Level 2 Safeguarding. As well as Supporting Children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Expectations of Behaviour, Schemas, Raising Developmental Concerns with parents, An Introduction to the Additional Learning Needs System in Wales as well as various other courses such as Working with Autism, Epilepsy, Child Development and many more.
Being on the network also gave me many opportunities to attend various courses which also enabled me to offer the best care i could to each child and their families.
My Availability
My hours are 7.30 - 5.00 Monday to Thursday and I also cover School Holidays.
I provide wraparound care for Gaer Primary which I am full at the moment.

We have been using the childminding services of Debbie since September 2010 and it has been and still is the best experience for us, she treats our kids as her own, always giving them gifts and taking them to different places and doing different activities. The kids are always very excited to see her in the mornings and dont want to leave in the evenings. Thank you very much for your excellent work Debbie. From Dwayne n Fam!!!!!!
