About Me
We live near Hungerford. I am a qualified experienced nanny.
I am married and have a 12 year old daughter. We have recently adopted a baby girl (born Nov 24) and I am on adoption leave. I will be looking to return to work part time, bringing her with me from March/April 2026 at earliest. Having been through the journey to have her, I’m just a mum trying to find the right fit juggling childcare and working like most parents. I want to get back to work but not miss out on her either.
I bring a huge amount of experience and knowledge while being flexible on salary if she joins me.
I'm patient, flexible, firm but fair in disciplining, consistent and believe manners are very important.
Activities I enjoy with the children in my care: going to groups, parks, library, walks, fresh air, days out, puddle jumping, play dates, arts & crafts, garden time, puzzles, reading and games.
My Experience
25 years + child care experience.
I have worked with 0-12 yr olds in various nanny and nursery positions. I have mainly worked as a nanny.
I have worked with lots of babies and pre school aged children as well as older siblings, assisting with homework and after school activities and play dates. I have worked in lots of positions with multiple children.
I have experience with weaning, potty training, settling into settings, moving house, introducing new siblings.
I’m also a mum, I understand how hard it is to find someone you trust to leave your children with.
Pre adoption leave I was working as a TA in a primary school for 2 years so also have experience in this area too.
My Qualifications
DCE, diploma in child care and education Level 3
First aid training updated every 3yrs
DBS certificate
Food hygiene certificate
Play qualification
Child psychology diploma
I have been ofsted registered in the past but for my current role it wasn’t necessary.
My Availability
I had been working in a primary school for 2 years prior to going on adoption leave but am now looking at coming back to a nanny role.
I will be looking for 3 days ideally and hope to have the flexibility of bringing our baby girl some of the time. I do have support if this isn’t possible all of the time. I did this with our older daughter and it was always very successful teaching all children valuable life lessons and having a friend to play with. My daughter has lasting relationships with my past nanny families she grew up with.
I am looking for regular local babysitting jobs too.
I have written references from all my previous jobs with lasting relationships with most of them and they are all contactable.
I have my own fully insured 7 seater car.
I’m very flexible on which days I can work for the right position with my mum available to step in with my girls some days and during school holidays but my 12 year old is also able to be at home during holidays as my husband works from home full time, however does love helping too.
My Fees
- Nannying from £19.00 per hour (net)
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
Negotiable £16-20ph
