About Me
We live in Great Shefford near Hungerford. I am a qualified experienced nanny.
I am married and have an 11 year old daughter. We have recently adopted a baby girl (born Nov 24) and am on adoption leave. I will be looking to return to work bringing her with me part time from Easter 2026 at earliest.
I'm patient, flexible, firm but fair in disciplining, consistent and believe manners are very important.
Activities I enjoy with the children in my care: going to groups, parks, library, walks, fresh air, days out, puddle jumping, play dates, arts & crafts, garden time, puzzles, reading and games.
My Experience
20 years + child care experience.
I have worked with 0-12 yr olds in various nanny and nursery positions. I have mainly worked as a nanny.
I have worked with lots of babies and pre school aged children as well as older siblings, assisting with homework and after school activities and play dates. I have worked in lots of positions with multiple children.
I have experience with weaning, potty training, settling into settings, moving house, introducing new siblings.
I’m also a mum, I understand how hard it is to find someone you trust to leave your children with.

DCE, diploma in child care and education
First aid training
Crb certificate
Food hygiene certificate
Play qualification
Child psychology diploma
I have been ofsted registered in the past but for my current role wasn’t necessary.
My Availability
I had been working in a primary school for 2 years prior to going on adoption leave but am now looking at coming back to a nanny role.
I will be looking for 3 days maximum and hope to have the flexibility of bringing our baby girl some of the time. I did this with our older daughter and it was always very successful teaching all children valuable life lessons.
I am looking for regular local babysitting jobs too.
I have written references from all my previous jobs and they are all contactable.
I have my own car.
