Hello, my name is Sahira Aslam, and I run Tots & Toys, a warm and welcoming childminding service offering high-quality care in a homely environment. With over 12 years of experience supporting children and families, I am a registered childminder certified by the Care Inspectorate and a proud member of the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA).
As an Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) funded provider, I offer government-funded nursery hours for eligible children, giving families access to flexible, quality early years care in a home-from-home setting. I am also a community childminder, working in partnership with local services to support families who may benefit from additional support or flexible childcare solutions.

My Experience
I have over 12 years of hands-on experience working with children and supporting families through all stages of early childhood. My journey as a childminder began from a deeply personal place—wanting to be present for my own son while offering a caring, safe, and enriching environment for other children.
Over the years, I have welcomed children of various ages, backgrounds, and needs into my home-based setting, building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families. I have developed a solid understanding of child development, behaviour management, and early learning through both practical experience and continuous professional development.
I am a registered and fully certified childminder, regulated by the Care Inspectorate, and I stay actively involved in the sector as a member of the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA). I am also an Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) funded provider, delivering free government-funded nursery hours, and I serve as a Community Childminder, offering flexible support to families who need it most.
Throughout my career, I have consistently provided:

As a registered childminder, a Care Inspectorate-certified provider, and a proud member of the SCMA, I maintain high professional standards and actively engage with Scotland’s national frameworks for early learning and childcare
My Availability
I can offer both full and part time caring.
also I can offer 22 funding hours a week, for 2 years old or above child .
My hours are from 8am until 6 pm everyday throughout the year.
I am also happy to carry out school and nursery runs when and if required.

My Fees
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
My fees are dependent on the service required, and can negotiable based on the individual requirements of both the parent and the child.

Tots is a very good place for childcare needs. Tidy and professional. I get picture updates regularly on my daughters activities. My daughter is always looking forward to her day there.

Sahira has been excellent with my little girl, who comes home with new songs and words all the time. I get photo updates throughout the day and I trust that she is in safe hands with her.

Sahira was very professional and caring with my son from day one. She sent me updates and videos throughout the day to show how he was getting on which made me feel assured that he was in good hands. My two year old learned alot during his time with Sahira and I feel like it helped towards his development. Highly recommended.

She is very careless with children and she let them share cups and my children comes back home with their water bottles full the way I send it.
She's also very selfish she change days for weddings and Court appointments when she wants to but when I ask her to change days because I have appointments she refuse and act very rude.

When I moved to Glasgow from Kenya I was worried about finding a great childminder for my 2 year old and since we started with her we haven't left. I love that she offers a wide array of activities for my little one and she communicates about any noticeable changes with the my child, this gives me the assurance that my child is well taken care of and I worry less.

Sahira Aslam is a very caring, reliable and professional woman.
Both my sons went to Sahira’s for about 2 years.
She is very organised, patient and friendly.
Her house is welcoming, warm and very clean.
She has a bright, colourful garden, fitted with slides, trampoline, and varied other toys for the different age groups.
Sahira looked after my sons when I was undergoing training and the shift pattern made it impossible to find suitable childcare. My boys were in a primary school that had breakfast club and after school care but my timetable could not allow me to use their facilities.
I would drop them very early in the morning and did not have to worry about pick up time.
I managed to complete my training, and I know I owe it to Sahira. Knowing my boys were in good hands was very reassuring.
She would keep me updated throughout the day by sending me pictures.
I can honestly say that Sahira is an amazing childminder and would100% recommend her services.

By the first time my boy saw and met Sahira, he has immediately got along with her. For the first day, he came into nicely without asking mommy. Sahira is such a caring and lovely childminder. She got me updated whole day with lovely pics and clips of Harvey.
