I am very happy to provide a reference for Mandy, who cared for my son Kairo for approximately a year and a half.
During the time Kairo was with Mandy, she played a very important role in his development and helped him grow in confidence and independence. She supported him with his communication skills, sharing and social skills, learning and development, as well as his fine motor skills. She was always patient, caring and encouraging, and she made learning enjoyable for him.
Mandy also played a huge part in preparing Kairo for starting preschool. She helped him develop the confidence, communication, social and practical skills he needed to take that next step, and I genuinely believe that the time he spent with her helped him become ready for preschool.
What made Mandy particularly special was the way she welcomed Kairo into her family. He was never made to feel like just another child in her care; she treated him as one of her own. Kairo was loved not only by Mandy but by her whole family, and it was clear how much they all cared about him. He built such a strong bond with them that he still asks to spend time with Mandy and her family.
Mandy has also gone above and beyond to support me as a parent. On occasions when she had holidays or time off herself, she still made an effort to help me where she could, particularly when I needed childcare. Even now, she continues to be very helpful by caring for Kairo during school holidays and when his preschool is closed. This has been an enormous help to me and is something I truly appreciate.
I have always felt completely comfortable and reassured knowing that Kairo was in Mandy’s care. She is trustworthy, reliable, caring and genuinely invested in the children she looks after. She has always put Kairo’s wellbeing, happiness and development first.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Mandy as a childminder. She has made a lasting and very positive impact on Kairo, and I am extremely grateful for all the love, care, patience and support she has given him over the past year and a half.
