About Me
Hi, I'm Mandy. Working with children is my passion, and I have done so throughout my working career. I have now been a childminder for 12 of those years. I enjoy working with children, investing in their early years education, supporting their social, emotional development, and building firm foundations for their futures.
I pride myself on having a safe and stimulating home environment, providing a wide range of learning opportunities. Whether they are exploring in the garden, dressing up and engaging in role-play, baking, crafting, making music, or reading, there is always something to do. I take a lot of pleasure in taking the children out to explore the surrounding area. We love visiting the library, going to local toddler groups, and the parks, but our favourite activity has to be attending forest school.
Aside from work, I am a mum to 3 boys, who have all been successful at university and started their own lives. When I am not working, I enjoy going to the gym and keeping fit and am a huge football fan. I also enjoy travelling and have visited some beautiful countries.
My Experience
I have a BA honours degree in early years teaching.
I have been a TA in a primary school, supporting children with SEND.
I have worked as a Deputy Manager of a pre school, where I was responsible for curriculum planning, maintaining safety, and providing a range of activities that support learning through play.
I have worked in crèche settings.
I have helped in my local church with Sunday School and in the church nurseries.

I am very happy to provide a reference for Mandy, who cared for my son Kairo for approximately a year and a half.
During the time Kairo was with Mandy, she played a very important role in his development and helped him grow in confidence and independence. She supported him with his communication skills, sharing and social skills, learning and development, as well as his fine motor skills. She was always patient, caring and encouraging, and she made learning enjoyable for him.
Mandy also played a huge part in preparing Kairo for starting preschool. She helped him develop the confidence, communication, social and practical skills he needed to take that next step, and I genuinely believe that the time he spent with her helped him become ready for preschool.
What made Mandy particularly special was the way she welcomed Kairo into her family. He was never made to feel like just another child in her care; she treated him as one of her own. Kairo was loved not only by Mandy but by her whole family, and it was clear how much they all cared about him. He built such a strong bond with them that he still asks to spend time with Mandy and her family.
Mandy has also gone above and beyond to support me as a parent. On occasions when she had holidays or time off herself, she still made an effort to help me where she could, particularly when I needed childcare. Even now, she continues to be very helpful by caring for Kairo during school holidays and when his preschool is closed. This has been an enormous help to me and is something I truly appreciate.
I have always felt completely comfortable and reassured knowing that Kairo was in Mandy’s care. She is trustworthy, reliable, caring and genuinely invested in the children she looks after. She has always put Kairo’s wellbeing, happiness and development first.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Mandy as a childminder. She has made a lasting and very positive impact on Kairo, and I am extremely grateful for all the love, care, patience and support she has given him over the past year and a half.
I am very happy to recommend Mandy and believe she would be an excellent childminder for any family looking for someone who genuinely cares about the children in her care.

Mandy is conscientious and reliable. She has a lot of love and care for the children, especially babies and toddlers. Our son built meaningful friendships with the other children whilst with Mandy from when he was 14 months until he was 3,5 years old and ready to go to a school nursery closer to our house. Mandy has always ensured a steady and systematic development for him as per age appropriate children's developmental stages. She had a folder with his painting and photos of his activities. He made loads of crafts like calendars with his picture stuck on it to take home for example. Mandy has looked after him with her heart, he was always well fed and very happy there, playing with plenty of toys or in her spacious garden and being occupied by various activities. During the warmer months Mandy would always take him outdoors to parks or forest school with the other kids. He would participate in creative activities such as baking, making play dough, painting, making cards, etc.. I would definitely recommend Mandy to any mum, she's Ofsted registered and is brilliant at ensuring children at even young age settle in well. She also works well with parents on child's specific needs.

Mandy looked after Olivia for almost 2 years and I couldn't have hoped for more. Communication with us was brilliant, we felt and still feel like Olivia was welcomed as part of her family.
Mandy took olivia out almost every day to the park, forest school, singing classes and more, she went above and beyond.
We only left Mandy so Olivia could start nursery and she is miles ahead of her piers in her shapes, numbers, colours and alphabet etc and that's all thanks to Mandy
I couldn't recommend this beautiful soul any higher, we are really going to miss her
