About Me
We have spaces from July 2026.
Hello! We are Sarah & Andy based on the Billington Park estate. We have two of our own (now adult) children and provide care from birth upwards.
We offer a flexible, home-from-home, friendly, fun, happy and stimulating environment for children with emphasis on early learning and development for the under 5’s.
We are registered to offer funded spaces. We have a wheelchair accessible setting and will tailor dietary requirements to meet children’s needs. We will incorporate religious beliefs and cultural differences.
We have a friendly cat.
We enjoy taking the children out and about and regularly visit local parks and lakes, playgroups and music sessions.
Our setting is a member of the Forest Childcare Association.
Our garden is fully equipped with play equipment. We have converted the garage into a playroom off our lounge. We have quiet areas available for sleeping and a downstairs toilet which is ideal for toilet training.
20+ years experience with children and over 10 years experience with several sets of twins.
My Experience
We have been parents for over 20 years and loved being with children so much that we have been childminding for over 16 years.
My Qualifications
Andy:
Degree.
Sarah:
Children and Young Persons Workforce Level 3.
Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Early Learning and Childcare.
Level 3 Diploma In Home-Based Childcare.
Sarah & Andy:
Paediatric First Aid.
Level 2 in Food Hygiene.
Diploma for Childcare In A Home Based Setting Level 3.
Both attend regular training to assist in working with children and young people.
My Availability
We offer a range of care; full-time; part-time and school term time only. Please call to discuss your requirements.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
Day care (including all meals / snacks / drinks / transport):
£7.50 per hour between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, time and a half outside of these hours.
We ask that young babies and children who are not fully weaned yet should come with their own baby food and milk please.
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Clipstone Brook Lower School
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Leedon Lower School

We highly recommend Sarah_Andy_Martin childminders, who cared for our child from 6 months to 3 years. She provided a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment where our child was happy, settled, and clearly loved.
They gave us complete peace of mind as parents, knowing our child was safe and well cared for every day. The only reason we moved on was because our child had outgrown the setting and was ready to transition to preschool in preparation for school.
We are extremely grateful for their care and would recommend her without hesitation.

A brilliant home from home environment with Sarah and Andy. A caring, fun house with plenty of indoor and outdoor toys to use. Great for early drop offs and school pick ups. Thoroughly recommend 😃

My twins settled instantly with Sarah and Andy and have built a lovely bond with them. Communication between us is fantastic and they look forward to going. So much easier when the child is happy and content. They have a fun packed home from home environment and enjoy their day. Their routines are kept to. Happy children = Happy parents.
