Hi, my name is Claire, and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Swanley.
I am 38 years old, a wife and a mum to two children of my own. I have 20 years of experience working with children and absolutely love providing a caring, safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and develop.
I was re-inspected by Ofsted in July 2024 and graded Good, with strong areas identified. I am committed to continually developing my setting and providing high-quality care and learning experiences for every child.
I live in a two-bedroom house in Swanley with my family and have a large back garden, offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and exploration. I am conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Swanley Station and local bus stops. We also have a library and four parks within walking distance, giving us lots of opportunities to get out into the local community.
I have a purpose-built cabin in my garden, which provides a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment for children to learn and play. I aim to create a home-from-home atmosphere where children feel happy, secure, valued and encouraged to become confident and independent.
I also have two children of my own, aged 16 and 13, so I understand the importance of providing children with a nurturing environment while giving parents peace of mind that their little ones are being well cared for.
I pride myself on getting to know each child individually, supporting their interests and helping them develop through play, exploration and everyday experiences.
My Experience
I worked in nurseries for 10 years, gaining valuable experience caring for and supporting children of all ages. During this time, I progressed to become a nursery manager, before moving on to work as a nanny. I have experience working with children from birth to 8 years old and have supported children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD and hearing impairments.
As a mum myself, I understand how important it is for children to feel safe, happy and secure. I aim to provide a relaxed, loving and nurturing home-from-home environment, where every child is treated as an individual and encouraged to develop and learn at their own pace, with plenty of care, patience and support.
I love keeping children active and engaged through a variety of fun experiences. We enjoy visiting local playgroups, going on days out, exploring the outdoors and getting creative with messy play. I believe children learn best when they are having fun, exploring and following their own interests.
I also provide fresh, home-cooked meals, ensuring children enjoy healthy and nutritious food in a warm, family-friendly environment.

Monday to thursday 7.30 5.30pm

- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
6.50-7.50 per hour

Claire is an amazing childminder! My daughter has been going to her since June and she absolutely loves it. Claire makes each day fun and also helps develop her language and communication skills which are constantly improving daily. I feel relaxed leaving her with Claire knowing that she will be safe and enjoy herself. The days are filled with fun and learning and Claire keeps me updated with photos and messages. Claire’s two boys are a delight too and my daughter loves spending time with them as a family. I would highly recommend Claire as a childminder. Xx

My son really enjoys his time with Claire. Aiden is very settled and happy when with Claire. There is plenty of thing to do and any trips out are suitable for all. Claire provides an excellent and safe service.

Claire looked after our 18 month Daughter for 3 weeks while mummy recovered from surgery. She really enjoyed her time there, playing in the pool and sandpit! Claire has been great throughout, keeping us updated on how she was doing and sending pictures.

After making the choice to return to full time work after having my son I was terrified of the thought of leaving him with anyone! But after finding Claire everything has been so easy and relaxing! She truly loves what she does and has a passion for childcare! Herself and her family are lovely and so welcoming. I couldn't think of a better person to leave him with.

My name is Daniel and i have a four year son call Joshua. Am new to using childcare website so i was abit reluctant initially until i met Claire. Her genuine love for children is 100%, very professional and has a lovely playground in her garden. My son enjoy every moment he spent with her and always happy anytime i pick him up. Claire is great with kids and i would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a good childminder locally with fun activities guaranteed.
