About Me
I am a fully qualified, Ofsted-registered childminder with a GOOD rating in my most recent Ofsted inspection and over 10 years of experience providing high-quality, nurturing childcare since 2014.
I offer childcare from a purpose built log cabin in my garden, fully equipped for early years learning. This dedicated setting provides a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can play, explore, and learn.
I am passionate about outdoor learning and believe children thrive when they have opportunities to connect with nature. We regularly enjoy woodland walks, visits to local playgroups, and a variety of outdoor activities that support children’s development and wellbeing.
As a mother of three children aged 18, 16, and 5, I understand first-hand the importance of providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children feel happy, secure, and valued. I am committed to helping every child grow in confidence, develop new skills, and flourish through play and learning.

My Experience
With over 10 years of experience as an Ofsted-registered childminder, I’ve had the privilege of supporting many children through their most important early years. Since starting in 2014, I’ve created a setting where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. My approach has developed through years of hands on practice, ongoing training, and reflective learning. I’ve worked with children from a wide range of backgrounds and developmental stages, supporting early milestones, preparing children for school, and helping them grow into confident, curious learners.
My Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Health and Social Care
Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Workforce(Early Years Educator)
Level 2 Food and Hygiene for early years setting
Understanding and recognising speech, language and communication needs(SCLN) in early years.
Certificate in Supporting Children with Speech, Language and
Communications needs.
Certificate in Paediatric First Aid
PACEY registered
CRB checked
Data Protection Registration Certificate

My little girl has been with Ellen for three years now and I can’t recommend her enough! My daughter has so much fun there and even though she’s now started school she still asks about Ellen and was excited to spend half term there. I’ve even had my daughter stay there overnight without a single worry, because I know how capable and caring Ellen is. She’s an absolutely fabulous person and anyone who chooses her to look after their children will tell you the same.
