My Summary

My Experience

Apart from being a mother of 2 children I have been a full-time childminder for over 20 years. My eldest daughter, 30, has Autism and suffers from complex mental health issues that come attached to this, despite this challenge, has managed to attain 3 A Levels and studied Film Production and Studies at University of Winchester.She is also transgender. My youngest daughter, 24, completed an apprenticeship in Early Years Childcare at a local nursery and now works at a local school for children with additional needs. My husband has worked in hospitality, catering and retail for all of his working life. I have experience of caring for many different children including those with Aspergers, ASD, eating disorders, allergies, special educational needs, delayed hearing/language, dyslexia and behavioural disorders.

My Qualifications

NVQ3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, Certificate in Introducing Childminding Practice, First Aid for Childcarers, Level 2 in Food Safety in Catering, GSCB Inter-Agency in Child Protection, Level 2 in Safeguarding Children.

My Availability

My hours of opening are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. (Standard charging hours 8am - 6pm)

My Fees

• Childminding from £6.50 per hour

Standard hours @ £7.50 (under 5s) per hour or £6.50 (over 5s) per hour.
There may be discounted rates offered for full-day care, holiday care and sibling care.

Outside standard hours (weekdays) @ Double hourly rate.

Before-school @ £7.00 per hour or £10.00 from 7.30am including drop-off at school.
After-school @ £7.00 per hour or £15.00 upto 6.00pm including pick-up from school.

I offer the 15/30 hours Government Funded Childcare for all eligible 9mth,2/3/4 year olds but this is subject to availability of spaces and I limit the number of funded places available to fit around my setting's needs. I do ask for a voluntary consumables donation of £5 per day maximum to cover food,snacks and drinks; a voluntary consumables charge of £5 per day to cover non-food items such as wipes, nappies, nappy cream,nappy bags, sun cream etc.; a voluntary additional enrichment activities and high-quality resources contribution of £10 per day maximum to cover High-quality resources/art & craft materials (not covered by EYFS curriculum), school-readiness activities, gardening equipments and resources, aggregate charge for ad hoc outings, celebrations,festivals etc.; plus a voluntary donation of £6.50 per week to cover subscriptions, entrance fees, memberships etc. to extend children's learning and experiences such as: Little City, Soft Play, Little Muddy Boots, Hoppity Poppits, Over Farm Little Farmers, Slimbridge, Prinknash Deer park, Teeny Tiny Town, Mudpies and Sprinkles, Go Bananas etc. Parents/carers have a right to opt out of paying for any/all of these donations - my funding policy (available on request) details in full the options available for parents/carers should they wish to opt out of contributing to ensure their child still benefits from my unique setting.
