My name is Kim, I am an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ registered childminder. I live in Boxmoor with my husband and three children aged 6,4 and 2 (February 2019).
I have my CACHE award in CYPOP5 (understanding how to set up a home based childcare service). I have an up to date paediatric first aid certificate. I complete regular training courses to keep myself current and expand my knowledge.
I am fun, reliable and committed. I enjoy spending time with children, exploring, playing and learning through enjoyable planned activities which helps our learning and development.
I aim to provide care in a home from home environment which is safe, fun and stimulating. I have a range of toys, books and activities to encourage learning through play. We do a range of activities from messy play, arts and crafts to baking. I have a safe and secure garden where we can explore being outdoors. I take the children on regular outings including, playgroups, the zoo, the local moor and parks. We like to visit places to help with our monthly theme. We love to learn through play and exploring.
I work alongside the EYFS (early years foundation stage) where I provide a learning journey and daily dairy for all children under 5. In the learning journeys I put observations and photos of their journeys in my care. This allows me to assess how they are developing and helps me plan how to help their progression in line with the EYFS.
I work in partnership with parents to provide the best possible care and help meet the needs of your child incorporating your wishes and opinions. I provide a monthly newsletter with the activities we have completed to ensure I keep you involved with your child's learning.
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 3 1/2 years and was awarded ‘Outstanding’ in my latest Ofsted inspection March 2018. I also have experience from being a mum to my three children aged 6, 4 and 2.
I continue to develop my skills professionally through training courses I complete through paceys (professional association for childcare and early years).

My daughter has been with Kim for past one year. She loved everyone moment she spend with Kim. It's a home away from home. She has developed a lot of skills and learned new things through playing. Dancing and singing , playing they enjoy every minute of her time with Kim.
