Best Childminder

When I was getting ready to go back to work, finding the right person to look after our daughter was so important to us. We were incredibly lucky to find Sheila.
She looked after our 11-month-old daughter for two months and cared for her as if she were her own. She was always so kind, loving and attentive, and came up with lots of different activities throughout the week to keep her happy and engaged.
We were honestly so sad that we couldn’t continue with Sheila for longer, as we would have loved for our daughter to stay in her care. It gave us such peace of mind knowing she was in such wonderful hands.
You can leave your little one with Sheila with your eyes closed, she really is the best! We couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

Highly recommend Nanny Sheila

I first met Nanny Sheila over six years ago when I was looking for someone to help pick up my eldest daughter from school. She was such a great help, and I felt at ease knowing my daughter loved being collected by Nanny Sheila. Fast forward to 2022, I needed a childminder for my youngest daughter. I contacted Sheila, and she began looking after my daughter full-time, Monday to Friday.

My daughter absolutely adores Nanny Sheila. In fact, even on weekends she asks for her. Nanny Sheila treated my daughter as if she were her own, which was evident in how happy my daughter was in the mornings when getting ready to go to her house, and how at times she didn’t want to come home.

Each week, Nanny Sheila would take my daughter and the other children to the library, playgroup, the park, and to explore the local area. My daughter really developed her hand-eye coordination, as well as her drawing and coloring skills. My daughter often built objects from play blocks and enjoyed the toys available to her. She was also able to continue toilet training while in Nanny Sheila’s care.

Nanny Sheila was very accommodating, even at short notice, and never complained. I have recommended her to others in need of a nanny and will continue to do so. My daughter now attends nursery school and no longer sees Nanny Sheila, but she still, to this day, asks for her.

Fantastic childminder

Nanny Sheila looked after our daughter for just about 18 months, from when she was 1 until we moved out of London. The settling process was so easy, as Sheila was warm and friendly and our daughter bonded with her so quickly. Within the first few weeks she was always excited to go to Nanny Sheila's every morning and see her friends, and she was always happy when we picked her up and would tell us what they had been up to that day.
Sheila does a great job at taking the children to various outings, to the park and the library often, as well as local playgroups. We really liked how much the setting felt like a family and how well Sheila's sons interact with the children when they are home. I have had friends in the area tell me they have seen our daughter out with Sheila and looking so happy and cheerful, which is such a lovely thing to hear, and equally we have bumped into Sheila sometimes and our daughter was so excited to see her and always gave her a big cuddle.
My daughter also has many food allergies, and Sheila was always reliable with different foods around the children so I didn't have to worry about her accidentally eating something that she was allergic to. We provided our own lunches and snacks, and Sheila was very careful about not allowing cross-contamination. Sheila is also brilliant at being flexible and working with us as parents to adapt if we needed to do a late start or early pick up, or sometimes an extra day of childcare quite last minute.
Unfortunately we moved out of the area and so we couldn't continue with Nanny Sheila, which we were all very sad about! She is an amazing childminder, and your child will be so loved and safe with her. Very very highly recommend to everyone!
