Nanny / Housekeeper – Oxford (long-term role)
About Me
We are a warm family of five with three children aged 13, 10 and 6, based in Oxford.
I work full time and my husband is self-employed, so we are looking for an experienced, reliable and proactive nanny-housekeeper to become a long-term part of our family and help keep our household running smoothly. We are a respectful and welcoming family and value a long-term, trusting relationship with the right person. We are looking for someone who sees this as a stable, ongoing role and enjoys being part of a busy but friendly household.
Our current nanny has been with us for 1.5 years and has been wonderful. She is moving on to travel and then charity work (something she has always wanted to do). She is very happy to provide references or speak to interested candidates.
My Requirements
The role includes:
School pick-ups (4 days per week)
Drop-offs to occasional clubs
General household management including:
Cleaning and dusting
Laundry and managing washing cycles
Dishwasher loading/unloading
Light, simple cooking
Weekly grocery shopping
Occasional babysitting so we can go out in the evenings
(No ironing and no pets)
? Hours & start date:
28 hours per week
Typically starting around 12:30–1pm
Fridays may be shorter (school pick-ups often done by parents)
Start: end June / early July
? Pay & benefits:
£18 per hour (£500+ per week)
Use of a car provided (insurance/tax not included)
£60/month fuel contribution
25 days holiday (paid at £50/day, ideally aligned with ours)
Sick days and bank holidays paid (£50/day)
