Nanny in London (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I am an experienced, caring, and reliable nanny with over 25 years of childcare experience, including Montessori childcare, working with children from newborns through to school age.
Most recently, I worked with a wonderful family for almost six years, caring for their twin girls and younger daughter. Sadly, the family has recently relocated to Barcelona, and I am now looking for a new long-term position.
Prior to this, I cared for a lovely little boy from the age of one until he was three and a half years old. Before that, I looked after a little girl from just five months old until she was two and a half, supporting her through key developmental milestones before she transitioned to full-time nursery.
Earlier in my career, I worked for two years as a Montessori Childminder Assistant, caring for between two and eight children at a time, ranging from newborns to four years old. This role gave me valuable experience supporting children’s independence, confidence, and development through the Montessori approach, while providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Before this, I was a nanny for a family with two young children aged four and six.
I am passionate about providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. I am patient, organised, energetic, and genuinely enjoy helping children learn and develop through play, creativity, and routine.
In addition to childcare, I am an excellent cook and enjoy preparing healthy, nutritious meals for children. I am fluent in English, French, and Spanish, which allows me to communicate with families from diverse backgrounds and, if desired, introduce children to additional languages.
As a professional nanny, my focus is on providing high-quality care and supporting children’s wellbeing, learning, and development. My responsibilities include all child-related duties such as meal preparation, children’s laundry, organising bedrooms and play areas, and ensuring children’s belongings are kept in order.
I maintain tidy and organised environments for the children and always clear up after activities and meals. However, my role is that of a nanny rather than a housekeeper, and I do not undertake general household cleaning or housekeeping duties unrelated to the children.
My qualifications include:
• Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Common Core Skills Level 1 & 2
• Level 2 Health & Safety Certificate
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (clean)
I am happy to provide my CV and excellent references upon request.
While I do not currently hold a driving licence, I am confident using public transport and have always found London’s transport network to be more than adequate for school runs, activities, and outings.
My Experience
I am a caring, positive and experienced nanny who genuinely enjoys working with children. I would describe myself as firm but fair, providing clear boundaries while always maintaining a warm and nurturing approach.
I am lively, attentive and diligent, and I believe in creating a safe, happy environment where children feel secure, listened to and supported. Affection and reassurance are an important part of my care, and I am always happy to offer comfort when needed.
I feel strongly that children benefit from consistency, structure, and an understanding of good behaviour and manners, while also having plenty of opportunities for fun, creativity and relaxed play.
As a mother myself, I have experience across all age groups, from newborns through to teenagers. Being a mature nanny, I bring a calm, practical and reliable approach, with strong common sense and the ability to use my initiative confidently.
I enjoy engaging children in educational and imaginative activities that support their development and curiosity, while also ensuring there is plenty of time for play, laughter and downtime.
My Qualifications
I hold a valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate, a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, and Level 1 & 2 Childcare/Nannying qualifications. I also bring extensive hands-on experience working with children across a wide range of ages and settings, which has further strengthened my skills and knowledge in childcare.
