My name is Claire Mackie, and I bring 34 years of early years experience and a level 3 qualification to my home-from-home setting. Ofsted Registered graded "Expected Standard".I offer a nurturing environment with vacancies for government funded places.
My Experience
I have worked with children all my working life. I started working as a nanny as a teenager. I then became an Ofsted registered childminder and have been childminding for thirty four years, whilst bringing up my own family. I am used to planning activities for children based on their stage of development. I am dbs checked and hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
My Qualifications
I am a member of childcare.co.uk and keep up to date with training, these include.
NVQ 3 in CCLD.

I have a place available Monday to Wednesday from September 2026 due to a current child leaving to attend school.

We have used Claire as a childminder for the last few year for our son who is now four and our daughter who is now two. Claire is amazing with the kids and they really look forward to their days with her. We always get little updates through the day with photos of what they have been up to which is really nice and tries to get them playing outside for some time each day, unless the weather is really bad. Claire has always been really helpful and flexible on the odd occasion that we have needed it and is doing school pickup now for our son as he has started school, providing him with a nice continuity as he settles in to school. All in all we could not be happier with our choice of childminder and would highly recommend that you consider her if you are looking for a provider.
